Publishing FAQs

Common problems faced when publishing a promotion

Duplicate

This error indicates that the same barcode is configured twice in the same promotion. Export the promotion to Excel and find duplicates. Unselect the duplicate product in the promotion.

To prevent the error from recurring in future promotions, tag the PLU as DNU so that it will be flagged as archived.

New product added to promotion, please manually configure this product

A product has been added to the promotion in the POS but not set up in MyIQ. Scan will not be calculated for this product unless it is configured. To fix the error, add the product to the promotion in the same section as in the POS (i.e. mix and match, advertised, etc.).

Start date is too close

The POS is configured with a window (typically 7 days) which controls the minimum start date of new promotions. Any attempt to publish a promotion within this window will fail. To fix the error, publish the promotion in advance of the start of the window.

Promotion cannot be modified

This error can occur if an attempt is being made to modify an active promotion or if the date range of the promotion is being modified. Updates to active promotions should only be made through the POS and duplicated into the promotion editor for scan calculation purposes.

If the promotion has been published previously, try "Sync from CC" to sync the promotion from the CC to MyIQ.

Product "xyz" not found

A product has been added to the promotion that is not recognised by the POS. Search for the PLU number on the Products by PLU page to identify the products that it could come from. Then deselect the PLU from the promotion. To prevent recurrence of the issue, archive the PLU.
