About this Guide

MyIQ turns your point-of-sale, roster and stock data into a set of Power BI dashboards you open in a web browser. This guide explains how to drive those dashboards and how to read what they show you.

It is written for the people who use the reports day to day — duty managers, venue and store managers, area managers and head-office staff. You do not need to know anything about Power BI to use it.

How the guide is organised

Section What it covers
2. Getting started Signing in, finding your way around the menu, what you are allowed to see.
3. Driving a report The skills that apply to every report: slicers, period buttons, tooltips, click-to-filter, sorting, drill-down, focus mode and exporting to Excel.
4. Report reference A page for each standard report — what question it answers and how to read it.
5. Wage costs The labour measures in detail, the three wage reports, the Timesheets report, and how to read wage variances without being misled.
6. Activities The administration pages: Sites, Products, Targets, Users and Settings.
7. Glossary Plain-English definitions of the terms used across the reports.

A note on wording

MyIQ runs the same reports for retail and hospitality clients, so a few words change from site to site:

  • Site is used throughout for a trading location. Your reports may say Store, Branch, Venue or Outlet instead.

  • Target is what most clients call the number they are aiming at. Yours may say Budget or Forecast. The figure is the same.

  • Departments in the screenshots are FOH and Kitchen because the demo is a hospitality site. A retail site will show its own departments.

Your administrator sets these words for your organisation, so the labels on your screen may not match the screenshots exactly. Everything else works the same way.
